Mary Vasilaky Anastasiou

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Peter and Frosso Vasilaky, and her brother Jerry. She leaves behind a devoted family who will cherish her memory: her son Christopher, daughter-in-law Wendy, and granddaughters Ellie and Sophia. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Marylin Vallis, nieces Christina Miller (husband Doug, children Ryan [Andrea], Nick, and Anna) and Athena (husband Dave), as well as her cousin Anesti Siandris (Helen Spanos).

Mary’s life was deeply rooted in faith and community. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Tampa and later St. George Greek Orthodox Church in New Port Richey. Her dedication to the Philoptochos Society spanned many years, and she proudly served on the planning committee for Tampa’s first Greek Festival in 1981—a testament to her love for her heritage and her generous spirit.
