She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Joe Barja, along with her parents, Vincenzo and Rosalia Ippolito and her and her 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Diana Portillo, grandsons Michael Scott (Heather), NIck (Janine), Keith (Joshelyn) and 7 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A graveside service will occur Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Centro Espanol de Tampa Memorial Park, E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
