Mary Ramos Broome, 96, born in West Tampa, entered into glory September 11, 2021. She was one of 10 children born to the late Lorenzo and Clara Ramos. Mary was a spit-fire, there was never a dull moment when she was around. She worked at Moates Florist as a floral designer and her gift for teaching young children was evident, she worked in the School District of Hillsborough County. Mary was an active member at Idlewild at the Springs and enjoyed attending church.
She is preceded in death by 7 siblings and her beloved husband, James Philip Broome, II. Mary is survived by her two children; James Philip Broome III (Teresa), Maria Victoria Levinus (Charles), two sisters; Antonia Zenida Hernandez and Zenida Connell, grandchildren; Christina Joy Smith, Ronald David Smith, Jr, Charles Edwin Levinus III, Brian Scott Levinus, Holly Deborah Coughlin, Joseph Thomas Coughlin, numerous great grandchildren and extended family.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610 on Sunday September 19, 2021 at 2p.m. with an hour Visitation one hour prior, and Committal Service following at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 5048 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
In lieu of flowers family is requesting memorial donations made to the Neighborhood Bible Study of which Mary was a faithful active member.
