One of seven children, Mary Lou was born in Parrish, Florida, on September 13,1927, and lived her entire life in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. A graduate of Hillsborough High School, she attended Tampa Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for Borden’s Dairy, and later at Seminole Heights Methodist Church.
Mary Lou was a devoted mother and wife who loved her church, the beach, family camping trips, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Mary Lou was twice widowed to George E. Wolfe and Donald M. Wolfe, respectively. Survivors include her children; Janet Soderberg (Karl) and Doug Wolfe (Yvonne); stepchildren Elizabeth W. Bush (David)and Donald M. Wolfe Jr. (Susanne); grandchild Konnor Soderberg; and step grand-children Elicia Bush (Uri), Dr. Kristina Wolfe (Doug Swanson), and Nikolas Wolfe (Cynthia); along with 18 nieces and nephews.
A “Celebration of Life” service will take place on April 10, 2026, at Lake Magdalene Methodist Church at 11:00 AM.
