

Born in Staten Island, N.Y., Millicent lived most of her life in Seffner, Florida in the home where she was raised by her parents of Irish and German descent. While supporting her family and husband in the military, her love of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought her much joy through visits, and travel. Her love of cats was always part of her life, taking care of local strays and making them part of her family.
Millicent was preceded in death by her father, Alexander Ross; mother, Mildred Schmidt Ross. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Francis Hitchcock; three sons, Stuart Ross Hitchcock and his wife, Susan Wimberly Hitchcock, Sterling Alex Hitchcock and his wife, Susi Hitchcock, Donald James Hitchcock and his life partner, Paul Yandura; four grandchildren, Jennifer Turner and her husband, Riley Turner, Candace Jones and her husband, Dalton Jones, Calyn Hitchcock, Camdyn Hitchcock; three great-grandchildren, Raelynn Turner, Baxleigh Turner, Maddox Jones.
A funeral service for Judy will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Interment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
