Nicholas "Nick" Vincent Perez

Nicholas “Nick” Vincent Perez passed away in Tampa, FL on January 3, 2016 at the age of 27. He was a native of Tampa. He is survived by his parents, Daniel C. Perez and Robin Perez; sister, Dina Perez; grandparents, Hortensia Perez and Robert & Joy Evers; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Nick graduated from Land O’ Lakes High School in 2006 and became a Firefighter/Paramedic. To say he had a kind, generous heart is an understatement; he truly loved his work and especially loved helping people. He excelled at his job and is a hero to those whose lives he touched. Nick is known by his friends and family alike for his pranks, one-liners, sarcastic wit, and mischievous grins. He loved playing the guitar, going to Tampa Bay Lightning games and going fishin’. There will forever be a void in our hearts with his passing, but we rejoice in knowing he is with God. Nick was a proud member of Hillsborough County Fire Fighters, Local 2294. A celebration of Nick’s life is scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1pm at Van Dyke Church, 17030 Lakeshore Road, Lutz, FL 33558. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nick’s name to the Hillsborough Firefighters Benevolent Relief Fund at 5843 Lakefront Drive, Wesley Chapel, FL 33545.
