Baluja, Palmira passed away peacefully, in her sleep and at her home, on September 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Miguel Baluja, and granddaughter Carla Lizarralde. She is survived by her sons, Reinaldo Alvarez and Miguel Baluja Jr. (Cynthia); her grandson, Miguel Baluja III (Andrea); her granddaughter, Reina Baluja; and 3 great grandchildren, Julian Pichardo, Arabella Baluja, and Maiyah Baluja. In earlier years, she worked at Tampa Drug, Eli Witt, and McKesson and Robbins. Later on in life, she was self employed. She also did a great deal of volunteer work in the West Tampa Elementary school lunchroom and at the West Tampa Little League Concession stand. She became affectionally known as Abuela Pal, and endeared herself to many people from all walks of life with her giving ways. She lived to serve others, friends and family alike, and all who knew her loved her. No services or gatherings are planned at this time; she will be laid to rest in a private burial beside her husband, at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
