

Paul William Vasko Jr., age 93, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in Tampa, surrounded by family. He was born on September 12, 1932, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Paul and Myrtle Vasko.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for over 22½ years, retiring honorably in 1973 with the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. Following his distinguished military career, he and his family settled in Tampa, FL, where he began a second career with the United States Postal Service. Paul served as a mail carrier for more than 20 years before retiring once again, continuing his lifelong dedication to service and community.
Paul enjoyed traveling with his sister, Carol, spending time with his family, watching sports, and sharing weekly lunches with his children. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loved ones, especially his children and grandchildren. He was the strong, steady rock of his family—devoted, selfless, and always putting family first.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy, and his parents, Paul and Myrtle. He is survived by his children, Steven Vasko, Karen Eagle (John), and Janet Valles; his sister, Carol Tomczak; his grandchildren, Evan Eagle, Nola Eagle, and Dax Vasko D’Leon; and his nephews, Kevin Tomczak and Stanley Tomczak.
Paul’s life was one of service, love, and steadfast strength. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
