Paula devoted her life to education and to the countless students and families whose lives she touched. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education and was a proud alumna of the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa. For 47 years, she taught in the Hillsborough County school system, where she became known not only as an exceptional educator but also as a fierce advocate for her students. She loved each of them deeply and cared for their families as if they were her own.
Beyond the classroom, Paula lived life with energy and joy. She was a dedicated personal trainer who inspired others to live healthier, stronger lives. She loved the beach, treasured beautiful sunsets, and was always compassionate toward others. Paula had a loud, cheerful laugh that was contagious to everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eunice Cavezzi, and her sister, Ceceilia Cavezzi.
Paula is survived by her brother, Mark Cavezzi; her sister, Debbie Singletary (Tom); her nephews, Kurt Nickerson and Steve Nickerson (Lisa); her nieces, Heather (Travis) and Lindsay (Russ); her beloved great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins who loved her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paula’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Paula’s kindness, generosity, and love for others will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Memorial service to honor Paula will take place at 1pm on Friday, April 24th at Blount and Curry Carrollwood, located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave Tampa, FL. 33618.
