

Raymond was born on November 15, 1927, in his family’s home at 2035 West 7th Street in Brooklyn, New York, delivered by a midwife. He was raised in Brooklyn and attended St. Simon and Jude Catholic Elementary School, where he faithfully served as an altar boy until the age of eighteen. He later graduated from Manual Training High School in Brooklyn, New York.
A proud patriot, Raymond honorably served on active duty in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he continued a life of public service as a New York City Firefighter, serving the Coney Island community in Brooklyn for 23 dedicated years.
In August 1977, Raymond relocated with his beloved wife, Angela, and their three daughters—Deborah, Joyce, and Tammy—to Tampa, Florida. After settling in Tampa, he began a second career as a dispatcher for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, continuing his lifelong commitment to serving others.
Raymond was known for his remarkable skill as a carpenter and car mechanic, as well as his love for landscaping. A man of strong faith, steady hands, and generous spirit, he devoted his life to his wife, daughters, grandchild, and extended family. He will be remembered for his hard work, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Raymond was preceded in death by his four older brothers, Albert, Albino, Johnny, and Louis, and his older sister, Joan. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela; his three daughters; his grandchild; and his younger sister, Teresa, along with many relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Raymond’s life was one of faith, service, craftsmanship, and devotion to family—a legacy that will live on in all who knew and loved him.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 10am on Friday, March 27th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 15520 North Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33613; followed by a private internment.
