BUTLER, Richard Eugene, 83, of Inglis, Florida and Murphy, North Carolina, formerly of Tampa, Florida, peacefully passed away September 27, 2018. Richard is now reunited with his beloved dog Freddie. He was born on September 3, 1935 to the late Joseph and Susie Copeland Butler. He retired as a Switchman for the Railroad. Richard was an avid Gator fan, enjoyed fishing, and walks on the beach watching the sun set.
He is preceded in death by son Dickie. Richard is survived by Valerie, his loving wife of 30 years, children; Sherry Butler (Rick Tudtud), Russell Butler (Samantha), step daughter Kersten Beauchamp (Michel), sister Jeanette Morgan, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
A visitation will begin 1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Blount & Curry @ Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa.
Richard was blessed with his faith, family, friends, and endless love.
