

Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Judy Stephenson; two daughters, Alicia Seidel (Bryan) and Michelle Hansel (Jeff), and three grandchildren, Kelsey Shippee, Colton Hansel, and Harper Hansel.
Early in his career, Robert worked as a store manager for several local Kash n’ Karry grocery stores. Later in his career, Robert was introduced to the International Ocean Freight forwarding industry, where he discovered a passion that led him to build a successful company, Stephenson International Shipping, Inc. He remained actively involved in the business alongside his wife, continuing their work together with dedication and pride.
Robert cherished time spent at his mountain home in Sky Valley, GA, where he loved to play golf. He was an avid and very skilled golfer all his life. He had a lifelong love of cars and racing. In the early 2000s, he became deeply involved in sprint car racing, eventually purchasing his own sprint car. Backed by a talented team and driver, Robert’s car won the TBARA Championship in 2006 - a highlight of his racing years.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 11, 2025, viewing 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., service 4:30 – 5:30 p.m., fellowship/food 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel.
