Rose earned her highly regarded nursing degree from Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. She then met the love of her life, Edward M. Brennan. They were married at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City and enjoyed 50 happy years of marriage.
Ed and Rose left Manhattan in 1963 and settled in Washington Twp., NJ for the next 25 years where they raised their 5 children. In 1987, they moved to Tampa, FL where they enjoyed their retirement years in the Florida sunshine.
Rose was extremely active in the local libraries and various other volunteer positions. But she was especially active in St, Paul’s Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic minister, a reader, and a tireless volunteer at all Parish events. Quite simply, it was her second home.
Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Ed, her parents Peter and Delia Lynch, her infant son Michael, and her two brothers who she adored, Peter and Tom Lynch. Rose is survived by her 5 children: Jeanne Mastro and husband Louis, Clare Brennan, Edward Brennan and wife Tammy, Stephen Brennan and wife Patricia, and Matthew Brennan and wife Michele. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Lisa and husband Rich.
Also left behind to mourn her loss are her adoring grandchildren: Kelly-Ann Kishton and her husband Rigel, Louis Edward Mastro, Megan Bost and husband Alex, Stephen Brennan, Kevin Brennan, Shea Brennan, Ethan Brennan, Danielle Brennan, and Katie Rose Brennan. Rose was blessed to be a great-grandmother to Lana (daughter of Kelly and Rigel).
A funeral mass will take place at 2:30pm at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. Tampa, FL. 33618 on Friday, August 12, 2022. Family will receive friends starting at 2pm.
In honor of Rose, please be kind to someone in need…..That is her lasting wish.
