The following are words from his loving wife:
“I couldn’t let Sam go without letting everyone know what a wonderful human being he was. He loved his family and always put them first. He had a heart of gold and had all the qualities that a person should have. He was loving, kind, patient, positive; he never complained.
He always saw the good in others and he had no problem forgiving an offense. He did not have an easy life. Another person with the difficulties he encountered at such a young age might not have fared so well. But Sam excelled in overcoming obstacles.
I was blessed by God to have him as my husband. He always said no one could ever love me as much as he did, and I felt the same way about him. Sam was very wise, and always made the right decisions. He was my best friend. I was his caregiver, his wife, his lover, his all. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. He was my heart and I will love him forever.
I know I will see him again some day and what a wonderful reunion that will be.
