It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stanislav Timofeev, who left us on April 19, 2024, at the age of 75 in Tampa, Florida. Stanislav was born in Russia and had a distinguished career that spanned continents and disciplines. He graduated from medical school in Russia, where he worked as a Cardiologist before moving to the United States. In the U.S., he transitioned to a career in Echocardiography, presenting at over twenty international cardiology conferences, and later became a beloved Professor of Cardiac Sonography, a role he passionately held until his passing.
Stanislav was a man of many interests and simple pleasures. He had a profound love for teaching, not only sharing his knowledge but also inspiring curiosity and dedication in his students. He was an accomplished musician and photographer, finding joy and tranquility in the arts as much as in his professional life. Stanislav cherished the weekly breakfast and movie dates with his wife, Irene; these moments of shared joy and companionship were highlights of his week.
Stanislav is survived by his loving wife, Irene Timofeev, and his daughters, Julia Timofeev and Eugenia Monaghan. His legacy also lives on through his beloved grandchildren, Kaylee, Owen, and Blake, who will forever treasure their memories with him, especially those made during cherished family vacations .
Respecting Stanislav’s wishes, there will be no formal service at this time. Instead, we remember him in our hearts and through acts of kindness and support in his name. His life was one of quiet impact, teaching, healing, and enriching the lives of others through his many talents and boundless knowledge. For those wishing to honor Stanislav’s memory, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, supporting a cause that was close to his heart and reflective of his life’s work.
Stanislav’s dedication to his family, his students, and his field will not be forgotten. His legacy continues in the countless lives he touched, both through his medical expertise and his compassionate presence. We are in awe of the stories and photographs that so many have already shared, and truly appreciate your support and kindness."
