Asbrand, Steven, 53 of Tampa, passed away suddenly June 6, 2016. Steve grew up near Boston but as all who knew him will attest, he was a Southern boy at heart. He made Florida his permanent home after graduating from Florida State University in 1984. He loved sports, gardening, cooking a great meal and all things Seminoles. Most of all, he loved being dad to his sons, who were the joys of his life. He took great pride in them. He will be missed by all for his quick wit and big heart. Steve is survived by his sons, Justin and Jackson and his former wife, Sonia. He is also survived by his mother, Claire (Scotton) of Westwood, MA and his sister, Deborah of Boston. He was the son of the late Charles Asbrand. He will be forever missed by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend Steve's funeral mass on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, 33618.
