Teresa Castro passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 86. She is lovingly survived by her son, Leonardo Castro; her daughter, Silvia Wehling; and her cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Lauren, and Avery. She was predeceased by her beloved life partner, Roger Wehling; her parents, Fortunato Pagnotta and Elizabeta Marcelo; and her siblings, Lucia, Antonio, Alberto and her son in law Marc Wehling.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Teresa was the youngest of her siblings and the only one born in Argentina after her family immigrated from Italy. She graduated from a Catholic high school, where she was known for her lively spirit—often clashing with the nuns over her love of makeup.
In 1979, Teresa moved with her husband and children to the United States to learn English. She quickly fell in love with her new country and made it her permanent home. Teresa was also passionate about tennis. She formed a Saturday morning tennis group leading to lineups of all alternates, to everyone's amusement.
Teresa had a deep love of learning. She enjoyed reading was quick with her mental math, and also found great joy in swimming and spending time at the beach.
Above all, Teresa was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.
