Timothy Lee Johnson

JOHNSON, Timothy L. Passed peacefully on October 4, 2015 surrounded by loved ones at home. He lived his motto "Fight to the end" as he battled cancer 4½ years. He was born October 26, 1979 at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. He graduated from Mountain Home High School in Idaho and High Tech Institute in Phoenix. He then served in the USMC from 2003-2007 as a specialized K-9 handler. Tim rose to the rank of sergeant in three years. He and his dog, Sped, served a tour in Iraq detecting bombs. He lived his life to the fullest by spending time with family, traveling, volunteering and numerous sporting activities. Wounded Warrior Project and other Veteran programs were an important part of his life. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Donna Johnson; brother, Jeremiah (Mandy); sister, Amy (Matt); niece, Mya and nephews, Ayden, Austin, and Merrick; and many other beloved family and friends. His smile and love will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project, Toys for Tots or The First Tee Inland Northwest. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 N. Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, WA.
