

A graduate of Vandercook Lake High School in Jackson, Michigan, Bill went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, followed by a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
Bill, a highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran, pursued a 26-year career in the United States Air Force, which included serving in the Desert Storm Gulf War. He also served in key command and staff positions at all levels to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
While stationed at MacDill Air Force Base (Tampa, FL), Bill met and married his wife, Cindi, the love of his life.
In addition to his wife, Cynthia Schmick Robbins, Bill is survived by his two children, John Robbins (Lavonne) and Annie Russell (Jack); two grandchildren, Lisa Sargent (David) and Jack Russell, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Aurora Sargent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter William Robbins, Sr. and Anne Brooks Robbins.
A memorial service for Bill Robbins will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church at Carrollwood, 3714 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33618, where he practiced his committed faith by being an active member. Later this year, a graveside service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
