Cochran, Wanda S., 89, of Tampa passed away December 13, 2016. Born in Bartow, Florida in 1927, Wanda married Lee Cochran of Colorado in 1950. They had one child, Robert, born in 1951. Following Lee's retirement from the Air Force they lived in Tampa. He died in 1969. Wanda graduated from USF in 1968 and taught 32 years at Belle Witter School until her retirement in 2000. She was a lifelong Baptist who loved her family dearly. She was generous, self-reliant, a dedicated friend, a great cook and seamstress. She was an accomplished pianist and passionate about pets, especially cats. Wanda loved to travel, play cards and games, and talk. She liked to watch the Rays, game shows and Christian programs. She is survived by her son, Bob and his wife June; and grandson, Tim. Also of the Tillman families, Chris, Lisa (Moffat), Kevin, Stephanie, Macky, Maddy, Samson and Jordan. She leaves behind many members of her parental family, the Stokes. A funeral service will be held at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel at 2pm on Friday, December 16, 2016.
