Hug, William George 85, of Tampa, Fl., born near Chicago, Ill. died Monday, May 11, 2015. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Hug, Melissa Hug Childs, Jeffrey Gaeto, Linda (Dee Dee) Morgan, and Tony Gaeto; a brother Robert Hug; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Bill had a BS degree in Phys Ed and a Masters degree in dance from the University of Illinois in 1953 and 1960 where he was the Indian chief mascot (Chief Illiniwek). Bill served in the Army from 1953-1955 and was stationed in France. He then obtained a Dance diploma from the Juilliard School of Music in 1959. Bill taught dance in many places including social dance for Arthur Murrary Dance Studios in NYC, Interlochen Arts Academy and National Music Camp in Michigan, and most recently retired from the University of South Florida in 1995 after starting, teaching, and chairing the Dance Dept . Bill's Celebration of Life service will be June 7, 2015 at the University Village 12401 North 22nd Street, Tampa, FL 33612, In the auditorium at 11:00.
