Wilma was born in Dade City, FL to Ray Harold Miner and Thelma Elisabeth Lee Miner on December 18, 1939. She went to high school at Hillsborough High in Tampa, followed by Business School. She worked as a toll collector and toll collection supervisor for the State of Florida Department of Transportation on the Selmon Expressway for 30 years. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved watching baseball and the Rays have been her team since they started.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Thelma, and her two sons David and Dwight.
Wilma is survived by her daughter Sherri King Vollick, grandchildren Celina and Travis, and great grandson Nikolai; nieces Carla Muecke and Pam Revenaugh (husband Vance); first cousins Rosemary Miner and Linda Doekler.
Visitation will be March 14 at 11:00 am at Blount Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am, and burial will be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations in Wilma’s name to the National Kidney Foundation; American Heart Association; or American Diabetes Association.
