

Beatrice worked as a nurse’s aid in Temple, Holland, Bartlett, and Granger nursing homes. Later she did home care for Dr. Goodnight and his wife.
Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Archie.
Beatrice leaves behind to cherish her memories her sisters, Lena White and Husband John of Tyler, TX and Ida Ross of Temple, TX; her special niece Joanna Calton Adam and children of Rogers, TX; Marcus Calton of Holland, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and a very special friend Willie Allen Whittenburg of Belton, TX.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 20, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Goodnight Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 21, 2016 at 1pm at Goodnight Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunshine Cemetery in Holland, TX.

She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Beatrice will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Simply stated, Beatrice was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Beatrice leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.

Beatrice Lorene Calton Strickland was born to Archie and Joanna Calton. Beatrice joined the church at an early age. She attended Holland and Bartlett schools.
