Carol Ann Mulholland Slaton

Carol Ann (Mulholland) Slaton, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in Teague, TX. She was born in Taylor, TX on May 29, 1939 to James Mulholland and Margaret (Riley) Mulholland.

Carol Ann graduated from the University of Texas with a Teaching degree. She taught school in Granger and in Thorndale. She married Charles E. Slaton, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1993. Carol Ann, was an avid traveler. She and her sons, Jim and “Bubba” traveled the world from Europe to Africa and Asia to South America, they had just returned from a trip to China.

Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by two sons, Jim Slaton & wife, Delia and Charles “Bubba” E. Slaton,Jr. of Freestone County; a sister, Sharon Barnes and husband, Doug of Waxahachie, TX; a brother, Ricky Mulholland; nieces, Christin Barnes, Candice Boehm and husband, Matt; nephews, Christopher Barnes, John Cody Barnes and wife, Kim; grandniece and nephew, Madelline & Michael Boehm.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm. in the Condra Memorial Chapel, 503 Talbot St., Taylor.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow at the Granger City Cemetery.
