Dorothy Louise Sawyer Fiebig

Dorothy Louise Fiebig, age 86, of Holland, TX passed away in her sleep on Saturday June 27, 2015. Dorothy was born on July 19,1928 in Smithville, TX to Frank and Caldona Farris Sawyer, along with 4 brothers and 2 sisters. This is where she grew up, met, and married Wallace Fiebig on June 5, 1946. The two happily shared their live until Wallace’s passing on November 15, 1999.

Dorothy lived in and around Holland for many years. She worked and retired from the Temple VA center where she worked as a Civil Service Telephone Switchboard Operator for over 20 years. She loved cooking for her family. Some of the favorites were homemade bread, corn cob jelly, and potato soup. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends at the Crossroads Café.

She is survived by her children, Jean Sartor, Danny Fiebig and wife Connie, Debby Vrabel and husband Kenneth, Ted Fiebig and wife Denise, Joe Fiebig and wife Ruth Ann; her 11 grandchildren;1 deceased grandchild, 11 great grandchildren; 1 brother; and 1 sister.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 6pm-8pm at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett, TX. A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 2, 2015 at 10 am at Davilla Cemetery.
