Hazel Naputi and Lillian Latisha Bass

Hazel Lee Naputi, 66 of Temple passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 in a tragic accident on old Hwy-95 in Little River-Academy. Her daughter Lillian Latisha “Tisha” Bass, 42 would pass from her injuries Monday, June 30th. It was Tisha’s wishes to be an organ donor. Her family honored these wishes and she continued to give of herself to others. Both women were very active in the Lighthouse Church and the Bread of Life Church, Belton.

Of the many survivors they include Hazel’s longtime companion Wayne Maddux. Her mother, Jimmie Taylor Hartley; sons/brothers, Jimmy Bass and wife Naomi of Irving, Texas, Joshua Naputi and wife Chelsea of Temple, Edward Lee Long and wife Valerie of Colorado Springs , Colorado; and daughter/sister Rhonda Bass Soliz and husband John of Pasadena, Texas.

Also surviving are grandchildren Justin Lee Bass, Breayona Adams, Rilee Miller, Mathew Soliz, Johnathon Soliz, Rocky Long, Aubri Anna Long, Austin Bass, Johnie Hartley, Christian Bass, Robert Bass, Justin Edward Bass, and Amber Bass.

Visitation will be Monday, July 7th, 6 to 8 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home, Bartlett.

Joint services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 Goodnight Funeral Home Chapel celebrating their lives with Pastor Terry Smith of the Bread of Life Church Officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Bass, Joshua Naputi, Mathew Soliz, Johnathon Soliz, Christian Bass and Wayne Maddux; Johnie Hartley, Gerald Johnson, James Johnson, Roger Johnson, Allen Johnson and Jordan Williams.

Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery.
