

Jonathan Edward Fritz, age 69, of Hutto passed away Thursday May 21, 2015 at his home. Jonathan was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Taylor, Texas where he later raised his family and served the church body as a handyman, Sunday school teacher, choir member, church greeter, Mr. Donut Man, council member and on numerous other church committees. Jonathan served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a T-38 instructor pilot during the years of the Vietnam Conflict. After retiring from the Air Force he returned to farming where he raised his family while serving the local community on the Hutto ISD School Board for 19 years, fifteen as Board President. All the while Jonathan faithfully attended local sporting events and activities that his children were involved in, and he umpired Little League baseball & softball games. Within the farming community he served on the Hutto Co-Op Board and also on the board at Williamson County Grain. Additionally he served the community as a commissioner of Williamson County – Emergency Services District #3. Later Jonathan would become actively involved in the Thrall community where his daughter Bethany is the head volleyball coach and continued to faithfully attend the events of his grandchildren traveling from Thrall to Leander and everywhere in between with his favorite lawn chair in tow.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Fritz; his children, Chris Fritz, David Fritz and wife Audra, and Bethany Grisson and husband Russ; his grandchildren, Madelyn and Abigayle, Ethan and Jack, and Jacob and Melaina, his sisters, Virginia Crunk and Emily Simons, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 24, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 25, 2015 at 2pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Taylor. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
