Ricky Don Preusse

Ricky Don Preusse entered into eternal peace Friday, March 22, 2013 at his home in Taylor at the age of 54. He was born June 26, 1958 in Taylor, TX and was the older of two children of the late Bennie and Hazel Preusse. Taylor was his home for his entire life. He was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church where he was a lifetime member. Although not active in the church, he maintained a Christian faith in his Creator.

Ricky was educated in the Taylor public schools and after high school worked as an auto mechanic at several area car dealerships including Graham Ford and Young Pontiac in Taylor, Classic Oldsmobile in Round Rock, and Lansdale Automotive in Georgetown. He had also been employed with Poldrack Grain and Cattle in Coupland.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Tammy Pokorny and her husband Tim of Austin; two nephews, Travis Pokorny of College Station and Trent Pokorny of Austin; a niece, Taylor Pokorny of Austin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, left to mourn his passing are his two cats, Dusty and Destiny.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 28, 2013 at 2 pm at Condra funeral Home. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Pokorny, Trent Pokorny, Denney Poldrack, Terry Poldrack, Hunter Poldrack and Will Carpenter.
