Fred H. Barnard

Mr. Fred Henderson Barnard, age 87, of Tazewell, TN was born September 27, 1929 and passed away December 15, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was an employee of Claiborne Farmer’s Co-Operative for approximately 20 years. He was saved an early age and was an active member of Howards Quarter Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for the past 50 years. During that time he also served as Church clerk and Sunday School Superintendent. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Lillie Pearson Barnard; brothers, Ernest and wife Margaret, Luther and wife Bobbie, Estle and wife Ula Mae, Lewis and Johnnie Peay “J.P.” Barnard; sisters Loeda and husband Dillon Shockley, Cloda and husband Mack Lewis and brother-in-law Hunter Murray.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Jean Williams Barnard

Grandson: Adam and wife Kayla Barnard of Speedwell, TN

Granddaughter: Sara and husband Chris Daniels of Harrogate, TN

Great Grandson: Levi Barnard of Speedwell, TN

Sisters-in-law: Fay Barnard of Tazewell, TN

Jewell Barnard of Sweetwater

Also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 6 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 6 P.M. Sunday in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Monday December 19, 2016 in the Pearson Cemetery at 11:00 A.M.
