Gary W. Powell

Gary Powell, age 62, of Harrogate, TN was born July 16, 1952 in Harlan, Ky. and passed away on Thursday June 11, 2015. He retired from the coal mines after 27 years. Gary professed his faith in Christ at a young age and leaves his family with that comfort. He was preceded in death by his mother & father, James & Alice Powell, as well as his brother Michael Harvey Powell.

He is survived by his loving wife: Deborah Powell of Harrogate, TN

Greg and wife Kay Pierce of Harrogate, TN

Children: Brandon Powell of Tazewell, TN

Keri (Billy) Cheek of Tazewell, TN

Misty (Jason) Brooks of Forge Ridge

Grandsons: Miles Powell, Ashton Leedy, Elliot (Taylor) Leedy, Ryan Keck, Christian Brooks, Ethan Young, Grayson Young

Granddaughters: Holly Keck, Paige Brooks

As well as a host of other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Saturday night at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday June 14, 2015 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the England Cemetery.
