Gene D. Hurst age 61 of Tazewell, TN was born July 20, 1955 and passed away February 17, 2017 at Claiborne County Medical Center. Gene was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, French and Lou Faye Hurst of Tazewell, TN brother Jerry Hurst of Tazewell, TN and sister Carolyn “Liz” Harpole of Tuscaloosa, AL.
He is survived by his Sister: Charlotte H. Badger of Knoxville, TN
Brother: Joseph C. Hurst of New Tazewell, TN
Nephews: Jerad Hurst of Tazewell, TN. Wesley Harpole of Fair Hope, AL and Brian Harpole of Birmingham, AL.
Niece: Sharon R. Clark of Knoxville, TN
Several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:30 P.M. Friday and memorial service will be 6:30 P.M Friday February 24, 2017 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN.
