GRILLO, Diana “Grammy” (nee Gerace) died peacefully on October 1, 2015 in Tampa, FL at the age of 81. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on October 30, 1933, to Joseph and Virginia Gerace. She met and married the love of her life, Matthew Grillo in 1955. They raised their three daughters in Queens, N.Y. In 1992 they retired and moved to Tampa, FL. Diana was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was known as “Grammy” to all the children that ever entered her home. She is survived by her sister Joan Krause, sister-in-law Delores Gerace, and her daughters Laura LaVeglia (Tony), Joan Shapiro, Jayne Bedosky(Mike) and 8 grandchildren, Denyce, Michael, Celena, David , Racquel, Matthew , Natasha, and Ashley and also many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Matthew, her brother Joseph, and her sister Miriam. A memorial mass will be held in her honor at 10:00 a.m. on Monday October 5, 2015 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 9715 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
