Emily Teresa Bodnar, age 80, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on July 21, 2021. Born November 6, 1940, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Emily was a cosmetologist and worked in the industry for many years. She owned a hair salon and loved the art of hairstyling. After retiring from cosmetology, Emily took on a new challenge and learned the art of interior design.
Throughout her life, Emily was a fan of movies, theater, music, and dance. She loved live performances and enjoyed dancing with friends and family. Emily was also a woman of deep faith and attended mass at many of the Catholic churches in Tampa.
Emily is survived by her husband Antonio Bodnar, her son Matthew Lopes and his partner Brad Meyer of Atlanta, GA, her daughter Sharon Burroughs of Tampa, grandsons Jonathan Germano, Jason Germano, Joseph Germano, Jamison Germano, Jared Germano, Nathaniel Welch, and granddaughter Angelica Korynas, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great child and her friend Suzanne Kosak.
