Linda Gay King, age 80, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her winter home in Thonotosassa, FL. Linda was born January 2, 1942, in Muncie, the daughter of Charles and Janelda Stafford.
A proud graduate of Yorktown H.S. class of 1959, she went on to study at Ball Hospital School of Nursing and had a career in the Healthcare field with Dr. John Cooper of Muncie. In her off-time, she was an avid boater and frequented Lake Cumberland, Dale Hallow and the many waterways in between. When not boating, you could find her camping and traveling the U.S., including a month-long road trip to Alaska. She enjoyed her winters in Florida and spent many days taking in a show or concert at Busch Gardens. She loved kicking up her heels with her dance troop, K&C Country Kickers. In her quiet time, she nurtured her garden, or enjoyed knitting.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Clark. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Austin K. King; son, Mikel King and his wife Natalie; daughter, Angela Bennett; sister, Elizabeth "Punky" Pierce; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchild.
