Ruby Jordan Cook

Ruby Jordan Cook, 85, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Born on November 16, 1938, in Carroll County, Georgia, Ruby was a cherished member of the Temple Terrace community since 1973.

Ruby dedicated 27 years of her life to the Hillsborough County School Board as a paraprofessional, where she impacted many lives with her dedication and work ethic. She was known for her feisty, tenacious spirit and her self-reliant nature. A loving mother and grandmother, Ruby’s family was the center of her world.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Deborah Eisenberg and her husband Randy; son Charlie Cook; grandchildren, Max and Maddie Eisenberg, Katie Cook. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, James M. Cook.

An avid reader, Ruby also enjoyed puzzles and was a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning, showcasing her love for local sports.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Ruby requested that those who knew her raise a glass in her honor, celebrating a life well-lived and dearly remembered.
