Sean Abrams

Sean Peter Abrams, of Tampa, FL, just 45 years old, died unexpectedly on Sunday December 19, 2021 from cardiac arrest. Family and friends are deeply saddened by his sudden death. His infectious smile will live on forever.

Sean was born November 1976 in Torrance, CA, and was raised in Los Angeles, CA. Shortly after graduating from Santa Monica High School, he moved to New York City where he pursued his love of music and began his career in Financial Services. After ten years he decided to leave the fast-paced city life and headed south to Florida in early 2008.

One year later, his son, Connor, was born and from that moment he poured his heart and soul into being the best father possible. There was nothing more important.

In January of 2011 Sean joined JP Morgan Chase and remained a devoted employee until his passing. Throughout his decade long career, he formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impression.

From a young age Sean dealt with his fair share of challenges and disappointments, but he was so much more than his struggles. He was talented and passionate in so many aspects of his life. He was a skilled lyricist, DJ and musician. He loved all types of music and spent many hours writing songs and producing beats. Sean was extremely generous and loyal. He showed up when it mattered, had your back and always helped those less fortunate. He was an avid sports fan, loved his NY and LA teams. Anyone who truly knew Sean knew he was a generous, loyal, courageous person and above all an outstanding father who dedicated his life to raising his son.

Sean was preceded in death by his mother Maria Murphy and Uncles Matt and Regis. Sean is survived by his son Connor Abrams whom he loved with his whole heart. He leaves behind his family who adored him beyond words - Campion and Faith Murphy; Mark and Elsa Murphy (cousins Christopher; Katherine and Kelly) Diane & Mike Binder (cousins Burt and Molly); Joe Murphy (cousin Kevin); his Godmother Theresa McCann (Luz McCormack) and all the McCann family; Elizabeth Bladel & Dave Nave (Connor’s Mom and Stepdad); and his father Ron Abrams ( Andrea) ; his Grandfather Abrams; Aunt Stephanie and many Abrams cousins.

A gathering of family and friends for Sean will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, followed by a celebration of life service at 6:00 PM.
