IN THE CARE OF

Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Terrace Oaks Chapel

Thomas Joseph Smith III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer; his son, Scott; his daughters, Melissa, Tiffany, and Olivia; his grandson, Jackson; his sisters, Susan Maude and Pamela; his brother, Paul; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Born in San Mateo, CA, Tom was raised in Jacksonville, FL, before settling in Tampa in the 1970s. He dedicated 35 years of his career as an Area Manager for the ACDelco division of General Motors. Tom was very outgoing and could capture a room with his personality. He always made everyone - including strangers - feel like they were life-long friends. Tom was best known for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for sports, particularly his support of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The family will honor Tom with a private celebration of life and kindly request that donations be made in his name to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
