March 13  2018.  Annual meeting when I was in Florida.  Always looked forward to seeing the Florida "A" team.

Looks like God is rebuilding the A-Team from Tampa. Tom Smith “Working Account Manager “is how he introduced himself at every ACDelco meeting. Tom was a mentor to me when I started my career with GM. Tom showed me that life cannot be all about work, you need a little fun along the way. Boy, did we have fun!! Tom was a Terry Parker graduate like me and an FSU fan until the day I saw him in a Gator shirt. Tom told me, hey you got to root for the school your money goes. I spoke with Tom from time to time over the years. He would call me unexpectedly and especially after my father passed. Tom, I am still working with ACDelco 38 years later and love telling stories about the A-TEAM from Tampa. You are one of kind and it was my pleasure to call you friend and brother.

Tom and I met 35 years ago, and he welcomed me to Florida. We had so many good times together, one when we went to Bo Diddley’s house and another when we played “Purple Rain” by Prince at my house. I think he, Bob Vines, and I remembered those two events more than all the others. If you met Tom, you walked away with a memory. We will miss him on the Tampa Team, as our management called us. Many times, he said, Chuck, we are friends, and he was right, we were friends. I will miss all those good times.

Tommy was always a part of my Family and I will miss His laughter and friendship. When Tom would come in town He would stop and say Hi to His Ex In-laws and always was welcomed . Some special memories are tailgating at the pre season game between my Jaguars and the Bucs, N.H.R.A. Drag races in the Ac Delco tent and just sitting around and enjoying the company. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Knew Tom for 37 years as a fellow employee of ACDelco.  Time spent with Tom on special assignments in Tampa were the best times ever.   He is a friend everyone wishes to have in a lifetime.  He will be missed by everyone he touched.  God bless Tom and his family.

Tom made an impression on all who came across him. He was a wonderful manager and coworker. He will be remembered admirably by his colleagues, comrades and acquaintances in the automotive business. My most sincere condolences to his entire clan. May God keep and rest him!

Tom and I worked together for several years and I always knew that I I could depend on him to do the very best that he could. It is with the upmost respect for him that I am glad to say that I could call him 'my friend" .

One of the best things in life is you get to call a guy like Tom your friend. I first met Tom over 38 years ago when I moved to Florida and have nothing but good memories of Tom since, He will be missed greatly, and my deepest sympathies go to his entire family.

I’ve know Tommy since I was in junior high school. When I was 14 he taught me how to drive his car, a stick shift. He forgot to tell me to brake and I drove into a yard where a man was mowing the grass. Needless to say, the man ran! Coming from up north, Tommy showed us that peanuts belonged in coke a cola and  moon pies! And I got to meet his basketball team players. Being a few years younger this was a neat thing! Tommy was our high school star basketball player and a star in my eyes! While there is sadness knowing he has passed, I will always keep memories of Tommy in my heart. To his wife Jennifer, daughters Melissa, Tiffany and Olivia and my nephew Scott, I am truly sorry you are enduring the sadness of losing Tommy. I hope your memories help heal the loss.

Tom was my husband Bob Vines' very special, very good friend. Tom and Bob had so many fun times together.  Thank you Tom for being our friend. My son, Chad and I will miss you always.

Mr. Tom will be missed. His smile and  laughter alway gave me a boost when I needed it most.

Tom was the best. My friend for 40 years...give or take! He was a great man. I will miss him forever.

Tom was always there for myself and my family.
He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Tom was not only a friend but like a second father to me. He will be sorely missed but I will always remember fun times.
