Andrew Murl Stone, age 96 of Temple, passed away August 29. Services for Mr. Stone will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 3, at the First Nazarene Church of Temple with burial to follow at the Bellwood Memorial Park pavilion.
Andrew was born November 21, 1916 in Bell County, Texas to Thomas A. and Hattie L. (Vanetta) Stone. He was raised in the Westphalia community. He proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II and then worked with the Air Force as a Civil Servant until he retired. He married Cora Cain in 1974.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Cora; two sons James Garey Tucker and Rick W. Tucker; 1 nephew, 2 nieces, 5 grand children, and 9 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Mr. Stone is scheduled for Monday, September 2, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple.
