Betty Jean Bridges, age 90, of Temple, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 under hospice care at the home of her daughter in Temple, TX. She was born on June 2, 1933 in Mill Creek, OK to Edward Elkins and JewellTalley. Betty Jean owned and operated Dinette Cafe in Belon and later in life became a nursing assistant after selling her restaurant. She is preceded in death by her son Robert D. Bridges. Betty is survived by her son Donnie Lee Bridges of Belton, TX, daughter, Patsy A Entzminger of Temple, TX, brothers, Billy Joe Elkins of Linwood, N.J, Earl Elkins of The Grove, TX, and Royce Elkins of Gatesville, TX, Sisters, Sandy Fath of Temple, TX, Linda Westerfield of Hewitt, TX and Sandra Edge of Gatesville, TX, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
