Mr. Billy Frank Cross

Memorial services for Billy “Pete” Frank Cross, 68, of Little River will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Taylors Valley Baptist Church in Temple. He died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in a Temple hospital. Cremation and memorial services have been entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple. Dr. Andy Davis will officiate.

Billy was born January 30, 1942 in Temple to Frank McMillan Cross and Billie Louise Forrester Cross. He graduated from Academy High School in 1960 and married Marketa Lou Cox in Little River November 18, 1960. They lived in Lewisville, Texas for more than thirty years and spent time in Odessa and four years in Cheng Du China where he taught English. He had lived in Little River since 2006. Pete was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton where he and his wife were Directors of Family Promise and active with the Dunamis Mission.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years; two sons, Chris Cross of Temple and Patrick Cross of Lewisville, TX; two daughters, Judi Gregory of McKinney and Kathleen Harris of Ocala, FL; one sister, Katy Marshall of Temple; one brother Randy Cross of Temple, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Citizens Scholarship fund for graduating seniors of Little-River-Academy, Academy ISD Administration, Attn: Sherry Moore, 704 East Main Street, Little River, TX 76554.
