Heinz Karl Tannreuther, age 94, of Temple, Texas passed away at home on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Temple, TX. A memorial service will be on February 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran church, 2109 W. Ave H, in Temple with Pastor Grayson Albers officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on January 31, 2025 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple.
Heinz was born on August 1, 1930 in Nuernberg, Germany. He was raised by foster parents. Heinz was baptized in 1930 and confirmed in 1944 at the St. Rochus Lutheran church in Zirndorf, Germany.
After WWII, he started his apprenticeship to be a Tool and Die maker and machinist. Heinz was 15 years old. He graduated in 1949 and received his Journeyman certificate. He worked at the machine factory MAN in Germany and Belgium.
Heinz married Paula Forster on December 25, 1951 at St, Martin Lutheran Church in Oberasbach, Germany.
In July 1958, Heinz and family moved to Sydney, Australia. After 4 1/2 years, they came to Temple to visit Heinz's sister and decided to stay.
Heinz worked at American Desk in Temple, Continental Mfg. Company in Belton and Royal Seating company in Cameron before retiring. Heinz enjoyed playing golf as well as fishing and painting.
He lived life with the joy of the Lord and was a shining example of trusting in God even through the toughest of times. He is finally seeing Jesus face to face.
Heinz was preceded in death by his foster parents, his sister, Betty Butler, his son Terry John and beloved wife Paula.
Surviving family are his son Harald and wife Dianne, grandson, David Tannreuther and wife Sonya, and granddaughter Rachel Tannreuther, his great-grandchildren are Braylon and Landry Tannreuther and Sarah and Gwen Keener.
