Larry Luis Carter, 62, of Temple, died Friday, Feb 18, 2011 at his home in Temple. Cremation services have been entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple. Private family services will take place at a later date in Ft. Madison, Iowa.
Larry was born Jan 23, 1949 in Ft. Madison, Iowa to William Robert Carter and Mary Lorraine Kalina Carter. He was raised and educated in Ft. Madison where he graduated from high school. He served four years with the United States Marines including a tour in Vietnam and had been employed as a technician in the communications industry.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his father in 2009 and his brother Rich in 2000.
Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Carter of Rt. Madison, one brother, Ron Carter of Ft. Madison and one sister, Paula Rowe of Sperry, Iowa.
