Ruth Lennon Russell

Ruth Russell was born on July 27, 1921 in Harper, Texas. She married V.C. Russell Jr. on June 11, 1941. They moved to Bell County in December of 1948. They lived in Killeen until 1968. It was then that they moved to Rogers, TX. She moved to Temple, TX in 2005.

Ruth loved to attend the First Baptist Church in Killeen and Rogers TX. She was an avid bowler. She was able to bowl until the age of 92. She had been a member of Memorial Baptist of Temple, TX for the last 11 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter, Katherine Leigh Reynolds.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Sheila Reynolds and son-in-law Alan. She is also survived by her sisters; Betty Joy Fredrich of Harper, TX, Barbara Colwell of Abilene, TX, her niece Stephanie Dukes, nephew David Caldwell, 3 great nieces,1 great nephew, and 2 great-great nieces.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 5:30-7:30pm at Crawford-Bower Funeral Home in Temple. Ruth will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00p.m. at Harper Community Cemetery in Harper, TX.
