Betty M. Earles

Betty Mardell Earles 85 of Clinton, passed away on June 10, 2014 at 5:04pm in Clinton Gardens. She was born on July 8, 1928 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to Theodore Blake and Ruby Bennett Blake. She was a graduate of Hillsdale School where she was Valedictorian of the class of 1946. She married Rex Leland Earles on Feb 14, 1947. She was a member of the Wayside United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Jerry Earles, a son in law Terry Simpson, a brother Melvin Blake and two sisters; Millie Trittipo and Madonna Hoggatt.

She is survived by two daughters; Gloria & Stanley Franklin of Portage, MI., and Christie Simpson of Clinton and a daughter in law Pam Earles of Hillsdale. Grandchildren; Douglas (Cathy) Franklin, Erica (Rodney) Hendricks, Timothy Franklin (friend Camille Bruinekool), Jeremy (Addy) Earles, Ernie Simpson and Jennifer (David) Gibbs. Great grandchildren; Marvin Eldridge, Thomas, Rodney Lee, Rylan and Region Hendricks, Emma and Lindsey Franklin, Lucas and Eli Gibbs and Amelia Earles. Two brothers; Merle & Docca Blake and Marion Blake, a brother in law Dennis Hoggatt, three sisters; Marjorie & Don Judson, Myra & Mike Todd and Becky Trittipo, three sisters in law; Annabelle Earles, Emma Lou Earles and Martha Blake. Also, several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends survive.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at Frist Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:30pm on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Allen Relford officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wayside United Methodist Education Fund.
