Mom,
Nothing could have prepared us for this time- and speaking of time...it feels extremely longggggggggg! I miss being able to talk to you, to kiss your cheek and tell you that I love you. But in this time of emotional chaos, I look to Heaven and seek Jesus even more. He tells me in that still small voice "you can trust me I am here, just believe" and I feel excitement to think he will be coming in the clouds and we will be a big family some day. I pray for strength and courage to do the right things for me and my sister. I will keep an eye on her for you. I feel you near in the small touch of wind, in a smell or a song. Please keep comforting us with these. The treasures we have are eternal. ps (I bet you look pretty in the Glory) See you soon, Mother and we Love you.

"US" Again Mom

It's "US" again Mom,
   and we send all our love, 
As we know you watch over
   from the Heavens above.

As you look down upon us,
   please continue to guide,
Until that "Glorious Day" when
  with Jesus and you we will reside.

Our days seem so long now, 
   as hours only slowly drift.
At times the weight is very heavy,
  and the dark clouds don't quickly lift.

We still cling to the "Great Hope"
   so please don't get us wrong,
And we try to keep fighting hard
so that the darkness can't stay for long.

But we sure miss your laughter,
   your wit, and your charm,
A soft touch from your hands,
   a warm hug from your arms.

We miss asking questions
  that would help us get through, 
And the volumes silently spoken
  with that one "look" from you!

We miss your creativity,
  your insight, and your smile.
And having our Bible Studies with dinners
  so we could just chat for a while!

As you well know this Earth is just
  "different" without one's mother.
Because her love, her touch, and her comfort
Are simply not possible from any other!

Our natural eyes cannot
   see you now,
But our spiritual eyes know
   you're still all around.
Your love and your guidance
   will always be near,
Your goodness and teaching
   still abound here.
And now though physically 
   we must be apart,
As our wonderful mother
   you are ALWAYA IN OUR HEARTS!

Your devotion to God
   is an example to all.
And we are so very grateful
   that you answered His call!

We praise our Heavenly Father
   for leading you to the Lord,
And "Thanks" for your diligence for Him
   that helped "US" to get "on board"!

If only for a moment, Mom,
   we would never ask you back,
But please pray to the Father
   that we can both stay on track.

And when that day comes
   for us to lay crowns at Jesus' feet,
We know we'll look up
   and it's then YOU we will greet!!

And we'll still need your guidance
   on that you can be sure,
So pay close attention in Heaven
   so you can help give "US" a grand tour!

There are times they say there are angels all around, and if you listen very closely you'll hear there angelic sound they're full of joy,love and beauty, laughter beyond compare, and if we open up our hearts we will feel what they have to share although these angels are very special, priceless in everyway, God offers the angel up to help us each and everyday as we travel on our journey we tend to make a fuss, but then our Heavenly Father steps in and an angel comes to us these angels come in different forms, be it animal, people come what may and there the Lord opens up our heart to see what they have to say I never thought i'd meet an angel but in my life now I met two two precious angels but now there gone and we don't know what to do we praise the Lord with all our hearts but as humans our hearts are sad we have to remember God gave us these angels so we really need not feel so bad I'm truly honored and praise the Lord for these two angels He put in my life because of Gods love in sending these angels my life has so much less strife God names the angels with different names so we can tell them apart this one angel now I'm speaking of has taken half my heart I'll never forget you Carolyn Jean Collins,AKA mom 2, for you always will be for all that you gave and taught us all,especially what you did for me you truly are one of Gods angels a gift from God up above and through your life you taught and showed us of the Lords precious love for those of us that met you we'll never say good bye you filled our hearts with so much love it gives us a happy sigh you walk your journey with the Lord now because he gave you the call now hand and hand you walk together winter spring summer and fall but do not fret we'll get it right and we will be on our way so walk real slow and wait for us and we'll see you some sweet day. I love you Carolyn (mom)

To My Dear Sister Julie~~
I praise God so much each day for blessing me with a wonderful sister in you! I've always felt you looked out for your "little sister" and have always been there when I needed you. As any sisters would, we've had our disagreements, but we've always managed to work through them and actually God was probably using each one to build our relationship up for what He knew it would need to be. I definitely feel this has brought us closer together which I'm sure mom is proud of. I could never have made it first without God but second without YOU by my side!! And I know I need you to make it through whatever time is left before Jesus takes us home! I pray that our relationship continues to get stronger as we help each other "stay the course" and "fight the good fight" just like mom did and just like we know she wants us to do!

To Mom With All Our Love:

From the time we were young to these last final days,
You taught us to always do our best.
"Be honest", you said, "Do what is right"
"And let God take care of the rest."

One of God's greatest gifts that He gives to His children
Is the one He chooses as their mother.
And we don't have a doubt that He gave us THE BEST,
We would never have chosen anyone other.

Your example of goodness, of courage, strength, and love
Along with a heart after God's Will,
Is a light in our darkness that we've always admired,
It's engraved in our hearts and part of what guides us still.

We're sure you now know we followed your wishes
No matter how hard it might get.
God gave us this blessing to keep you at home,
And it was an honor we'll never forget.

God gave us strength to hope and to pray,
To your room His own Peace did He bring.

Were the songs from our hearts we did sing.

Our human hearts are sad with you gone,
But our spirit-filled heart rejoices!
We picture you now in the Angel Choir,
And praising the Lord with your voices!

Oh! What glory when you finally saw Jesus!
And laid all those crowns at His feet!
Oh! What sweet joy when you saw all our loved ones!
Not to mention all the Saints you got to meet!

So even as we miss you a lot,
We rejoice and praise God that you're free!!
But please remember as you do wonderous new things---

We know that you will miss your Mom.  It is such a blessing when you know that you will see her again in Heaven.  Praise the Lord for that assurance.  You are in our prayers!!

Tina, I can not express how much my love for you has deepened in going through the last few years, I feel a treasure and a strength has been placed in us and I am honored. I pray for the abitlity to draw from it and grow in life with you. God IS making a way.

Mom I know you are in Heaven, I wish I could of seen your joy, but that was not the plan. The past few days have been hard, yet all the desires of your heart God orchestrated exactley as you asked and added his perfect touches. I may see your life as full of struggles, but you used those as opportunities to lean on Jesus more, those things you taught and examples you showed are a light for us in the darkness. I will follow and I will see you there. I love and miss you!

So sorry to hear about your mom, Tina!  I am so glad I had the opportunity to work with her!  Sending many thoughts and prayers your way!

I did not have the opportunity to know Carolyn well, but have known about her for over 40 years! I will be praying for the family. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints!"

A new star has been added to the heavens.  The world has lost a special person.  You are not gone, just waiting patiently for the rest of us.
