Obituary of Danny Lee Hall
Danny Lee Hall, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care January 25th at 902 pm in Terre Haute, IN at the age of 71. He was born in Sullivan, IN to Dallas Hall and Doretta Piety Hall. He attended Sullivan High School, and graduated with the class of 71, and Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN. He worked for GTE/Verizon for 37 years before retiring and then contracted to Sycamore Engineering and Woltcom Communications. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He was an avid bowler, played softball, coached girls' and co-ed softball and Terre Haute North Little League. He served on the board for the Wabash Valley Girls Softball League and helped build the softball facility. He officiated many softball and little league games. He loved to watch softball games, at times very animated. He was an avid football fan, especially the Colts. He loved riding motorcycles with the Calvin's Clowns Motorcycle Club with other members, Calvin Barden (Julie), Ed Hulett (Jackie), Jimmie Theal (Josie), and John Hamilton (Linda). He loved playing euchre and pinochle, sometimes with a little sleight of hand. He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Hall; sister, Deborah Templeton; stepbrothers, Mark Brown and Larry Brown. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Teresa Toney Hall; two children, daughter, Stacey Lynn Hall of Terre Haute, IN and son, Dustin S. Hall (fiancée Anna) of Terre Haute, IN; mother, Doretta Brown of Terre Haute, IN; sister, Denene Turner (Mike) of Papillion, Nebraska; brother, Dennis Hall (Georgia) of Brazil, IN; sisters-in-law, Nancy Fullilove, Sandy Kappus, and Janie Ewing; brother-in-law, Mike Toney (Sandy); half brother, Jared Bramble (Sondra) of Blackhawk, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation January 30, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Funeral Service January 31, 2024 at 1:00pm with a visitation starting at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
