Don Richard Mitchell

Don Richard Mitchell, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Don was born in Terre Haute on March 3, 1930 to Harold E. Mitchell and Hazel E. Pitt Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joanne A. Mitchell; a brother, Lee Mitchell; and a beloved grandson, Shaun Mitchell. Don was a member of Carbon Baptist Church, and a former member of Rio Grande Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Linda; his children, Bob Mitchell and wife Beth of Kalmazoo, MI, Don Mitchell and wife Cherye of Poland, IN, Brian Grayless and wife Karon of Terre Haute, and Brent Grayless of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren, Danielle (Karl) Morrison, Elizabeth (Marlon) Kirby, Ryan (Kristen) Mitchell, Karen Mitchell, Heather (Charlie Maxwell) Mitchell, Jenny Mitchell, Shannon (Joel Goscinsky) Mitchell, Derek Grayless, and Ethan Grayless; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Grayless officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Inurnment will be private at Roselawn Memorial Park. Don will be remembered for his love of family, fishing, and fixing clocks.
