Don was born December 10, 1937 in Corning, Arkansas to the late Oliver and Dollie (Waller) Wright. He married the love of his life, Patricia MacDonald of Flint, Michigan, on August 17, 1957; he had 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and later retired from J.I. Case Tractor Co. in 1986 after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, Don was ordained into the ministry, pastoring North Side Christian Church for several years. After relocating to Zephyrhills, Florida, he continued his ministry at the Rainbow Village Church that he loved so dearly. He had hoped to preach there until he was 80, but the Lord had other plans. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lifetime fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was often found sitting on his front porch with a cup of coffee and good friends.
He was a cherished family man and is survived by: wife of 57 years, Patricia Wright of Florida; children, Donald (Pamela) Wright of Georgia, Judith (William) Sears of Missouri; grandchildren, Brittany (James) Flowers of Utah, Korri Sears of Missouri, Shane (Courtney) Wright of Texas, Stephanie (Michael) Gladbach of Missouri, Ethan Wright of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Meredith, Emmett and Nathaniel Flowers all of Utah; sister, Florence Ray of Michigan.
