Dorothy "Dee" Deanne Collins

Dorothy (Dee) Deanne Collins, 67, of Terre Haute, passed away January 18, 2014, in her home with her husband by her side after a brief illness. She was born on July 18, 1946, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Robert Carroll and Dorothy M. Easter Carroll. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, one nephew and a brother-In-law.

Dee graduated from Gertsmyer High School in 1964. Dee enjoyed many outdoor activities and loved working in her flower gardens. She loved spending time with the family; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dee worked at Midland Glass for 18 years until they closed and then retired from Sony/DADC after 18 years.

She is survived by her husband Robert I. Collins; daughters, Lisa Nottingham of Terre Haute, Traci Collier Fisher and husband Kevin of Bowling Green, and Patricia (Patty) Collins Yamashita and husband (Hiro) of Terre Haute, two grandsons Kelly Chapman and Jessi Dust and wife Tiffany Dust, granddaughters Jordan Allen, Autumn Yamashita and Natasha Hand, great-grandson Jordan Targett; one sister Linda Goy, of Wilcot, Indiana; three brothers, Donnie and wife Sandy and Randy wife Jan Carroll of Terre Haute and Robert Carroll and wife Rita of Florida. Dee also has several nieces and nephews and cousins

The family would like to extend a special thank you to VNA & Hospice of the Wabash Valley, Melissa Laloux, Paige Johnson and Amber West.

Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home, with a visitation Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Kyle Andrews.
