

Eileen Frances Homburg, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus. She was born on October 22, 1927, in Terre Haute, to Clifford and Beulah (Pea) Smith. She married Carl Homburg at St. Margaret Mary’s Church and together they raised three children. Eileen worked for many years as a secretary for the Vigo County School Corporation and Pinkertons. Eileen loved animals, especially her dogs. Known as Grandma Eileen to many, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her son, Steve Homburg and his wife Patricia of Clearwater, Florida; her daughter, Amy Hauer and her husband Jerry of Terre Haute; grandchildren: Justin Homburg of Clearwater, Kelly McVey and husband Scott of Terre Haute; Kristy of Terre Haute, Kimberly of Terre Haute, and Holly Stevens and her husband Shawn of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Kyar and Jameson McVey, Hannah, Jayce, Zane, Molly, Madison, Maelyn, Macklyn; and Sarah, Logan, and Gavin Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, David Homburg, two sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home, with Chaplain Ken Coffman officiating.
